Officially recognised inspection organisation

GTÜ Gesellschaft für Technische Überwachung mbH is officially recognised in all German federal states as a monitoring organisation in accordance with Annex VIIIb StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). This is where you will find the list of the respective competent supervisory authorities with regard to periodic vehicle inspections (including the general vehicle inspections in accordance with Section 29 StVZO).

Technical Service

The Technical Service of GTÜ Gesellschaft für Technische Überwachung mbH has been designated by the Federal Motor Transport Authority and has been notified to the European Commission. The supervisory authority is the Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt).

Plant safety

GTÜ Anlagensicherheit GmbH is an approved inspection body in accordance with Section 2 (4) of the Act on Installations Requiring Inspection (ÜAnlG). It is also a Notified Body in accordance with Section 2 (19) of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG) for the conformity assessment procedure for placing lifts on the market in accordance with Directive 2014/33/EU.
